Tokyo Ghoul Filler List

Are you a fan of dark fantasy and supernatural anime plots? If yes then you must already be aware of the widely popular and adored Japanese manga series, Tokyo Ghoul. Taken from the manga series illustrated by Sui Ishida, this anime aired between the years 2014 and 2015 and consisted of a total of twenty-four episodes.

Synopsis of Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo Ghoul is based in a fantasy world where mysterious and dangerous creatures called ghouls live alongside humans. These feed on human flesh and can impersonate any normal human being, making them extremely vicious and a threat to every human.

The series, taken from the manga novels, follows the life of a student, Ken Kaneki, and his recent encounter with Rize Kamishiro, which left him barely alive and made him a half-ghoul instead. The twenty-four episodes show Ken’s attempts to fit into the world of ghouls and learn about important survival and flesh-eating methods followed by his mission to keep it a secret from his closest friend.

How many filler episodes does Tokyo Ghoul have?

The need for filler episodes arises when a show is waiting or lacking content to adapt from the manga novels it is based on. Given the limited number of episodes and short run time of Tokyo Ghoul, it is no surprise that the series consists of a zero percent filler rate.

Every episode of the series is canon and extremely crucial to the plot. However, the only distinction here is that while the first twelve episodes are completely canon, the remaining ones are a mix of canon and filler episodes. This makes them not only essential to watch to keep up with Ken’s story but serve as a very good source of entertainment as well!
